Elendor went down (is now back up)
I've been having timed-out connection attempts to 216.80.120.150 1892 (the current mush.elendor.net and refuge.elendor.net) since 9am EST. According to Facebook, other people have problems too. I don't think there's still a refuge site, is there? None of the links in previous posts work anymore. :( Tirl, Dar, and Turlach (edit: it seems to have been down since last night, 10/26/10) (edit: it is now back up! Yay! Elendor status
At around 7:40 this morning Game Time, Elendor went down. I have been checking it off and on since then, but nothing. The address I have for the Elendor Refugee MUSH does not work anymore. I'm at Beleriand 204.91.156.55 4739 if anyone wants me. |

Bereth in Elenath in Imladris
The BIE as we call it is a winter festival dedicated to the stars and Elbereth. It is also a time of remembrance where the death are remembered. It is a solemn time when oaths between liege lords and vassals are renewed. Taking place over the Yule-tide, it is also a time of gift-giving. The Bereth serves many purposes, but most of all, it exists to provide cool Elvish RP. If you haven't logged into your Imladris character lately or you're looking for a new place to play with your alt, maybe stop by this coming fortnight to see what we're up to in Rivendell. It all starts next Monday with the Opening Ceremony at 1300 GT. Please stop by. Dish's post on Imladris BB: The Noble Houses of Imladris will gather once again to determine which one deserves to be the Queen of the Houses. The ancient festival of Bereth in Elenath will be held again from September 4-15! The event will include song and dance and poetry as well as crafting and archery. Come one come all and represent your Nos in the competitions. The draft schedule looks like this:
4 September - Opening Ceremony by Nos Fithurin and Nos Narthanaer 1300 GT
5 September - Dancing contest
7 September - Poetry and song competition
8 September - Archery event
11 September - Guess what? A riddle contest.
12 September - Crafting exhibition
13 September - Masked Ball
14 September - Renewal of the oaths to the Noble Houses
15 September - Closing event: Name a star!
What we need now is you. Write up a poem or song, craft the item your elf has ever desired to make. Train your archery skills or train your brains to solve the riddles that might even let Bilbo and Gollum have a hard time. And, most importantly, let us know if you feel you would like to add a theme to the Bereth in Elenath. Feel free to contact Ain, Ell and me about this.

Elendor Refuge Site
I was expecting some activity on here with Elendor being down for so long... surprisingly quiet. In any case, due to the extended downtime, and my not having seen anything posted anywhere else about it, I've setup an unofficial Elendor refuge mush. It's entirely dedicated to Elendor and its players. It's a bit sparse right now, but everyone is welcome to join and make it feel like home. The address is: elendor.isunlimited.net:1892. Inquiry
This is a toughie. What player do you miss the most, why, and what you remember about them? Qualification: They have to be purged and you can only pick one. Why is this tough? Because I know two off the top of my head. ;) But I'll start. I would say that the person I miss the most is Alyeriell. She and I used to talk for very long hours about anything and everything. I nicknamed her Cat. Her character had red hair and was known for being a clutz. She killed Gwath-Megil during a training yard incident. And she was promoted to Teithor by me while I was playing Varinya. Last time I saw her she was going into college. But e-mail failed not too long after that.
